An overview map and a web link to the official River Parrett Trail Guide are available on the ‘Event Rules’ page.
Unfortunately in the River Parrett Trail Guide it is described in the opposite direction but may be of use.
Note: The Official River Parrett Trail must be followed as closely as possible. Last year it was reported that at least one runner took a short cut across the first field in the map above. Any deviation from the route which is deemed to create an advantage may result in time penalties.
Bridgwater is well signed and should not be difficult to find. Follow signs to Chilton Trinity (See Main rules text) Please don’t forget this is Private land and you can only Park up on Race day.
Route
This again follows the official route all the way. You will follow the river bank until Bridgwater Docks (old change over point) and then Cross the road (with care) and continue to follow the canal tow path through the town. Be aware of other path users.
The route along the canal is straightforward keeping to the right hand bank all the way until Crossway swing bridge. After Crossway its easier to continue along road on right bank under the motorway then cross the bridge to the Boat and Anchor and the finish line.
Support and Spectating
Apart from the start and finish it is possible to park up by the canal at the Docks.
